Trusting Our Hearts
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was once approached by a young student who said, "I would like to write a concerto. Can you help me?" "You're too young," Mozart told him, "wait a few years." "But is it not true that you were composing music when you were just seven or eight?" the student persisted. "Yes," answered Mozart, "but I didn't have to ask anybody how."
People often recognize what is within their heart at an early age. It takes an adult perspective to strip a child of the simple faith to believe that he can be an astronaut or inventor or even President. Children have no trouble trusting that their heart will tell them the truth. Maybe that is part of the reason why Jesus said we must become like a little child to live in God's kingdom.
To recognize what is in your own heart is a major step in fulfilling the plan your Father has for your life. Once a person has the capacity to know what is in his heart and, along with that knowledge, possesses a childlike faith to trust His heart, his realm of possibilities multiply exponentially. Your dreams and core desires aren't silly. They never were. They have been divinely placed within you. They aren't coincidental, but have been joined together by Divine Design.
To live from the heart is to reconnect with our core desires that have been divinely deposited within us. In rediscovering our heart we are likely to learn that our gifts and abilities align perfectly with those desires. After all, a loving God who has a master plan for our lives has created us.
Living from the heart is different than living from the head. Our minds rationalize, scrutinize and analyze to determine whether or not our dreams are possible. The mind considers the external factors related to the situation and decides whether or not to pursue the course based on what it perceives to be the probability of a successful outcome. The heart knows no such boundaries, but challenges us to reach beyond natural limitations as if there were no limits to what might be done.
To successfully integrate our faith into our daily lifestyles, it is necessary to learn to trust our hearts again, as we did when we were children. Our minds certainly aren't an enemy of our hearts, but in a world where we have been programmed to believe that reason alone reigns, it is important to once again lay hold of the dreams of our hearts and realize that we can trust what we discover there.
How do you recognize the calling of your heart? The answer is closely related to understanding what moves you, what matters most to you. Do you want to rediscover your heart? You can find it by identifying the things you value most in life. Your heart isn't interested in becoming rich, but in becoming real - to live from your authentic self. It is what matters most, not what pays most that captures the heart.
One highly successful man said to me, "I can make money, but what I really want is to make a difference." That man was speaking from his heart. The well-known statement about having climbed the ladder to the top only to discover it was against the wrong wall describes an all too common situation for many people. We know instinctively that we were created for a higher calling in the workplace than simply to gain prestige, power and possessions. Blaise Pascal said in the seventeenth century, "the heart has reasons of which reason knows nothing."
If Christ is your life (and He is), then you can live boldly and confidently, knowing that the One who has begun a good work in you will finish what He has started. (See Philippians 1:6) Your role is to trust your heart, knowing that Christ indwells it. His role is to see to it that the mission to which you have been appointed is discovered and fulfilled.

Atlanta Conference with Steve McVey
Biblical Truths We Never Learned In Church
In this three-night conference, Steve McVey, will present biblical truths that will challenge you to rethink what you've been told and what you may have believed for a long time. The revolution of grace has come into our modern doctrinal temples and is turning over the tables of our dogmas that many of us have believed were biblical doctrines. Some of what we've thought was sacred doctrine is being revealed to have been nothing more than sacred cows.
This conference will be an in-depth study of biblical truths that may change your perspective and your spiritual walk forever. If you are at a place where you are willing to allow the Bible to take precedent over everything else that has shaped your views then this conference is for you.
Session topics for the conference are:
The Truth About God
Much of what many of us has learned about God comes more from a philosophical viewpoint than from what the Bible teaches. In this Thursday night session, we will examine some startling but thrilling truths about how big our God's grace really is and just how far He has gone to express His love to mankind.
The Truth About Ourselves
The Friday night teaching will cause you to better understand how we are to see ourselves in a way that will enable us to fully experience the life our Father intends for us to enjoy. Years of religious barricades that prevent deep intimacy with God will be shoved away by His grace as we examine biblical truth concerning our union with God the Father through Jesus Christ.
The Truth About Others
The attitude most Christians have toward unbelievers is the reason the evangelistic efforts of the modern church are so anemic. This Saturday night teaching will reveal the Father's heart toward those who don't believe and may change the way you see those who don't share your faith. You will leave this conference with a deeper love for those around you who still need to know Jesus.
"Biblical Truths We Never Learned In Church" will be a conference that will set you free from religion and free to express the grace of Jesus Christ through your lifestyle. Space is limited, so register now.
Cost - There is no set fee to attend, but a love offering will be taken
Schedule - The conference will begin each evening at 7:00
Location - Doubletree Guests Suites
(off Highway 41, north of Cumberland Mall)

Dancing With Deity
The grace of our God is greater than most of us have ever imagined. Salvation is not simply a matter of having our sins forgiven and going to heaven. Biblical salvation provides the opportunity for us to literally live our lives from out of the circle of love shared among the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. By the finished work of Jesus on the cross, we have been situated in the loving embrace of our Triune God and find our very existence in Him.
In this series of teachings, Steve McVey covers the panoramic plan of God for all humanity. The teachings in this series begin by focusing on the loving relationship of the members of the Trinity before time and move forward all the way to our resurrection with Jesus Christ.
In the study of the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, you will learn that our God isn’t angry about man’s sin but rushed toward us to remedy the problem. In the teaching on the incarnation of Christ, you will be thrilled to learn how that Jesus has embraced our humanity and has joined Himself to us in our weakness. The sessions in this series dealing with the cross may provide an understanding of the crucifixion you have never even considered until now.
These seventeen sessions don’t rehash Sunday School lessons you’ve already learned, but challenge the listener to rethink some of the assumptions we’ve held for many years and in rethinking those issues, you may find that you come to a deeper understanding of God’s love and grace than you’ve ever known.

"This is the most comprehensive teaching on God’s plan for our lives that I
have done in ten years. Over the past few years, my life has been transformed
by the truths in this series in the same way I was transformed 20 years ago when
I first began to understand the meaning of the grace walk.”

We need to get a count on participants soon so that we can work out other details.
Our morning sessions will be open only to those who are a part of our team as Grace Walk Group Leaders or other direct roles with the ministry. These mornings together will be a time of encouragement, team building and helpful instruction for you. There will be a separate conference open to the public beginning Thursday evening called Biblical Truths We Never Learned In Church.
